About Pro-Life Action Ministries Mission Statement Pro-Life Action Ministries is an interdenominational, Christian organization dedicated to publicly defending the sanctity of human life, and saving lives from abortion, infanticide and euthanasia through peaceful direct-action and educational projects. Director's Message We accomplish our mission through several programs, the chief of which
is sidewalk counseling. Since March 1981, we have organized the nation's
most comprehensive and thorough sidewalk counseling program. Volunteers
are encouraged, trained and scheduled to stand in front of abortuaries
for the purpose of talking to those seeking abortions and offering them
the full array of alternatives and assistance so they choose life for their
babies. Throughout the years we have documented more than 1,600 babies
spared a torturous death by abortion. These are children whose parents
had decided to abort them and who were scheduled to be killed. The overwhelming
majority would have been killed the same day they were saved.
On October 1, 2000, we opened an office in Duluth, Minnesota, thus enabling
us to have a presence at all the abortuaries in the state of Minnesota.
This office incorporated a pre-existing sidewalk counseling effort that
had been headed by a wonderful Christian man, Jim Tuttle. Within weeks,
Jim had already seen a serious increase in his effectiveness at saving
lives in this small northern Minnesota city. In March 2001,
we opened an office in Orlando, Florida. Based on an existing sidewalk
counseling program, and through the leadership of Jerry Chase and several
key volunteers, the opening of our office in Orlando has increased the
pro-life presence outside the four local abortion centers there and many
lives have been saved.
