| Brother Michael Gaworski Tribute by Brian Gibson Brother Michael Gaworski, founder of Pro-Life Action Ministries, died August 28, 2003. Michael was a national leader in the pro-life movement in the late 1970's and early 1980's. He went on to start the Franciscan Brothers of Peace, a Catholic religious community serving the poor and those in need of Christ's love. For the last twelve and a half years, Michael was cared for by his brothers in community and his family after suffering serious brain damage a week prior to Good Friday in 1991. Michael was 45 when he died. I met Michael in February 1981, just prior to his founding of this ministry. He was seeking to live a life that was radically committed and devoted to following Jesus Christ. It was because of that devotion that Michael became an activist in the pro-life movement and then started Pro-Life Action Ministries. Few people in the pro-life movement today will remember Brother Michael's dynamic presentations for the cause of the unborn, but those who do remember a man who was one of the most, if not the most, eloquent spokespersons on the dignity and value of human life our day. The last twelve years of his life on earth became a witness to the dignity and value of human life that he worked so tirelessly to defend. His brothers in Christian community radiated the love of Christ as they cared for Michael. Before the brain damage, Michael was a prophetic in his words and deeds, after the injury his very life became a prophetic witness to the value of human life Most of all, Michael was dear friend. We will miss Brother Michael in this life but look forward to seeing him in the life to come.. Pro-Life Action News is our bi-monthly publication. Click here to see the

| "If you see anyone condemned to death innocently and do not save him although you know ways and means to do so, you have killed him. It will do you no good to claim that you did not contribute to his death, for you have withheld your love from him and have robbed him of the service by which his life might have been saved."
